The European Commission has launched an antitrust investigation into a Baltic shipping agreement that pools the cost of taking specialized cargo ships out of service, it said Friday. The agreement, the Baltic Max Feeder scheme, concerns "feeder vessels" that collect cargo containers from ports and transport them to central container depots, where they are loaded onto larger ships.
